Thank you for this enlightenment!! Who knew? And the typical instruction sheets don't tell you that the horizontal position is for half mast ceremonies!!

I always thought that was a way to have the flag not get caught in the gutters... Duh

My neighbor must have offended someone, theirs was stolen in broad daylight Memorial day afternoon....
