Every one seems to want to find someone to blame for whatever happens. Ummm, we had a Hurricane pass thru. s/:t happens.
Oh and by the way, Florida is basically a filled in swamp.

Default Elevation

I've been to Stonecrest several times and it does seems like higher elevation. Until you get a foot of rain one doesn't pay much attention to elevations. Here in TV I would think Mallory is a higher elevation than Caroline. I know a lot of dirt is moved around to develop golf courses and houses. Overall, it seems that the engineers have done a pretty stellar job with drainage in TV. Just my opinion.

You'll have to ask the OP.

This is my take.....

The Villages is massive (the envelope) compared to Stonecrest (the postage stamp). There is much more real estate here in TV to become damaged. As for elevation....I thought TV is, on average, 70' above sea level and higher in parts. I know I'm at a higher elevation in Mallory so there was no flooding in this area. I think Mallory may be about the size of Stonecrest. If I'm incorrect, please correct me.

Hope that helps.

Good for you.

Nosiness and a lack of integrity seems to be prevalent in a lot of people...so it's good to see those who still have ethics.

Back to a discussion of Stonecrest.
I agree with Coffeebean that comparing Stonecrest to The Villages, the huge size of TV means more problems and more flooding.

If comparing this to that, means that, it is better , then a 40-year-old trailer that I know of, in a flood zone that had irma’s eye wall pass just to the east of her, in Ft Myers ,is better than all the houses in Florida . The old dump had no damage.
