Same thing with my mom and when in a public place, I felt like I was broadcasting our conversations. I'm sure it will happen to me at some point in time.

As you probably have encountered, people who have difficulty hearing tend to speak louder than they normally would.

One time, my wife and I were sitting in the doctor's waiting room, and my mom blurted out a remark about a certain ethnic group. In unison, the 20 or so people who were sitting there, whipped their heads around and stared at her. Sitting next to her, my wife and I felt like crawling in a hole !

Wow!! I certainly don't think of a Kardashian as a celebrity, or any one from Jersey....however, I am proud to say I'm an American in our great country.

Mitt

In response to the person who was unaware that Mitt was here last night. I know we, here in TV, live in a bubble but I found it interesting that there are bubbles within the bubble. So I need to ask. Is there an election this Fall?

Is it possible that "that unaware person"may not be in TV??

Judging this country by our reality tv stars is just plain silly. Why not judge us by the millions of volunteers that give time to help those less fortunate, or by our volunteer armed forces that go in harms way everyday for freedom. Or by our immigrants working two and three jobs so their children can have a better life. Sorry for the rant, not my usual style at all.

So what.

Since I started this thread, you must be referring to me. Since my "bubble" is about 1200 miles from your "bubble," I was not aware that Mitt had been in TV. I had seen the story on the news this morning, and asked the question.

There was someone who started another thread who was present in TV, but was not aware that Mitt was there.

And yes - there is an election in the fall, as well as the Florida primary today.

It's helpful if you use the "Quote" button when replying to a post....That way, we know what you're saying "So What" about......Did that make sense?

Would you rather i discuss the hopelessness, desperation, and poverty felt throughout this country and nothing being done, except more rhetoric by politicians..Outside the bubble, in the real world, this country is failing miserably.Do you want to judge our"great" country by it's current standing in the world,it's not good, using any statistical analysis.Check out where our students are ranked in math, science, history, and verbal skills with the other developed countries. If they were tested on reality tv stars, we would get the 1st place blue ribbon hands down, and what does that tell you about our future generation? We have a serious problem, when our politicians say"it could be worse."Unfortunately our politicians are like the steering wheel of a car,but that steering wheel is not connected to the engine.Soooooooooooo where are we headed..............................???????????

No.....I would rather you discuss problems and solutions rather than what you wrote in your original post which was "Why anybody in their right mind would actually aspire to be the leader of this #%&*&%# country, is beyond any level of my comprehension." I object to the symbolic curse words in front of the word "country" (though I will defend your right to use them). But the political process we are going through now (as painful as it is at times) is an attempt at fixing some of the problems you mentioned that we are all very well aware of. But I think you answered your own question. Poor student rankings in math and science, vanishing middle class, tax inequities, world hunger and poverty.........trying to fix these problems are exactly the reasons that good people would want to be President.
