The 380+ salespeople working for listings in the VLS are only required to pass a Florida state license. They are not NAR Realtors per se....they do a fine job, more for selling new homes than pre-owned.

A buyer should be searching both on MLS sites (eg realtor.com) as well as the VLS.

The NAR (National Assiciation of Realtors) Realtors must also have a Florida real estate agent license. VLS agents are not Realtors because "The Properties of The Villages" is not a member of NAR. The broker for whom you work must be a member of NAR for their agents to become Realtors. But, many of the licensed VLS agents were Realtors in a previous job. In Florida, it is illegal to sell real estate for a commission unless you have a Florida real estate license.

No one is claiming these agents are Realtors. Realtor is an official designation. These agents are licensed Real Estate Agents. Not Realtors. There's a difference, and they are absolutely legitimate licensed RE Agents.

A bit confusing. A buyers agent is someone you hire to find you a home. You pay them and they work for you. Mostly people deal with a broker and or a salesperson who works for the seller. Supposed to be a code of ethics. I'm not an atty. Realestate law is if it isn't in writing it is just hot air.

Life style visit? People have different ways. We bought roughly 12 years ago. We actually went on three different life style visits over three years. Someone we know bought a resale and never came to see it until after the closing.

Selling? Truth there is shockingly little pressure. Put on you. Most jokes are based in reality. There is truth that people typically move three times. As i said, we went to three different lifestyle visits over three years. Still happy in the home we bought 12 years ago. Changes over 12 years for me. Palm trees now seem normal. Spending more time in a golf cart then a car seems normal. I do sort of miss SNOW. Relatives, do not appreciate calls- hum read 6 feet of snow.
Forecast is for 75 this afternoon. Far as heat, like palms, heat seems normal

You can request any VLS realtor for your lifestyle visit. Really
Suggest you ask to have Jenny Trew and Alex Di Angelo as your VLS realtors before
You come. They will show you exactly what you are looking for at
your price point. They truly are awesome.
I used tg and so did my friend last month, Your time is limited so don’t waste it looking at
Homes you have no interest in. As far as MLS, I have no recommendation.

Homes you have no interest in? :People are different. Some people can or seem to be able to look at a drawing and say I like that. I need to see it. Models and even resales are staged. They look bigger than they are. Said elsewhere. We went to three visits over three years. The place we bought was new and completed. we are happy and have been here 12 years..No regrets, actually better than I had thought.
