It would certainly appear that the contract executed by The Villages Regional Hospital, at the time owned by the Developer, provided for an "out" if Moffitt or the hospital failed to perform well-defined actions. For whatever reason, Moffitt made the business decision that the would not invest in the other planned cancer therapy services required by the contract with TVRH. As the result, TVRH executed the "out" which resulted in Moffitt closing its doors in TV.
But other than another cancer therapy company buying out Moffitt with the intent to offer all the originally-planned services, little else has changed. The state-of-the-art machine purchased with resident donations is still there and treating patients. In fact other than the radiation oncologist, who chose to return to a practice up north, even the technicians and nurses who operate the external radiation therapy remain the same. The new owner-operator, a statewide cancer therapy firm, will be moving several other therapy practices (medical oncology, infusion therapies, etc.) from other office space in the Sharon Morse building into expanded space formerly occupied by Moffitt. So the more comprehensive menu of cancer treatments originally planned by the Developer with Moffitt will be offered, even though neither the Developer or Moffitt are no longer involved.

Please read this again. This poster to my knowledge is always fair and well informed and has no agenda.
There are other people who post on this forum who live to make trouble if you ask me.
I was annoyed last night at the debate at some of the questions posed meant only to cause controversy. It causes many uninformed people to throw the baby out with the bath water.
We need to keep fighting for the truth and for honest debate, and clarification here, there and everywhere. If it stinks a little funny, it probably is rotten.
