In Hawaii a moke is a local bully. When I first saw this thread I thought "omigosh, they're here?"

The electric, street legal and open-air low speed vehicle with style, available exclusively in the USA.
Definitely not a golf cart. Starting price of $23k then add in popular options like lithium battery and upgraded seats puts one at $30k or higher. I will pass.

I googled "moke" and right away my answer would be NO!! Looks like something one would do for "off roading". As others stated it's most likely too wide for what most golf carts would go. Yes---call the district office!!

The Moke is a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) by its own definition, not a golf cart. (Florida law is very clear as to the difference.) It is not legal to drive "vehicles" on the MMP, only NON-AUTOMOTIVE traffic such as bicycles, golf carts, pedestrians, and skaters.

On their website spec says 65" width, 25 mph top speed.

Low speed vehicles, at least converted golf carts, are allowed on the MMPs per a 2010 memo from the District Counsel.

The Moke Cart, which was never designed to be a golf cart, may be determined to be significantly different and not allowed.

I have an Atomic coupe and, even tho it IS classified as a "golf cart" I would never feel comfortable on a MMP or golf course. I got it street legal and drive ONLY on the streets with a 35mph limit. No problems. I would say NO to a Moke!

My wife has an Atomic coupe and uses it on the MMPs and on the golf courses. It does have a slightly greater turning radius than our Yamaha and is a few inches wider but that is not a problem. I see quite a few Atomic coupes, along with their other models, on the MMPs.

I see others have said 60”. If that is true then the bridge ove Lake Sumter and the bridge over 27/441 are definitely out of the question.

Reminds me of the old VW “Thing”. I agree the width would be an issue. Think about the maintenance carts used throughout TV. They are probably the same width as a Moke.

Are you talking about the ones that hang out over the diamond lanes? and the length of Moke combined with its width would make it unable to stay in its lane in some of the curves by and in the tunnels.

This all has me confused. I can’t seem to open the entire pdf linked above. I thought a “low speed vehicle” was the same as a street legal golf cart. Not only that, I asked this question at the Villages Golf Cars: “if I have a street legal golf cart but I don’t register it and I don’t exceed 20 mph, can I just drive it on the MMPs? “. They told me that wouldn’t be an issue because no one would really know it was a low speed vehicle and not a regular golf cart.

It doesn’t matter to me but it is confusing.
