For me I tend to look on the Brightside.

" Welcome Back Snowbirds "

Keep getting those Automobile Tickets especially the Speeding Tickets, it definitely helps with our road repair costs.

Again Welcome Back !

Why, thank you. Thank you also, year rounders for raking in those automobile tickets 365 days per year.

You’re also welcome for all of us snowbirds making all your costs manageable.

I was one of those bad drivers today.

Coming out of the Golf Store in Sumter, I kept creeping out until I could see traffic coming from around the bushes. Whoops, I stuck my nose out too far. The driver of the pick-up was very nice.

I now have a broom handle with the mirror on the end of it.

Did anyone see the picture in our great newspaper today, Saturday. Talk about unsafe driving. They showed a picture of a lady who adopted a big dog and he is sitting on her lap while she is in her golf cart. What a great advertisement for SAFE DRIVING practices. Sadly I see several examples of people with pets on their laps while they are trying to drive. Get your pet out of the front seat of your vehicle. If you love your pet, I'm sure you don't want to see them sail through the front window of your vehicle. GET SMART!

At least traffic flows smoothly for the most part. I don't like going north on Morse and crossing 466 into the Spanish Side of TV other than that I find it pretty easy to get around.

I was exiting a round about on Hillsbourgh when a car passed me from behind in the merge lane. Almost ran me up on the curb.

If the person tries to do the same thing tomorrow, what action will you take?

One suggestion I have is to drive slowly thru a roundabout so it is easier to react when another driver does something stupid.

My only other idea is to honk if you suspect they might do something stupid. When I am driving 3/4 of the way around a roundabout and then exiting, I often honk at a driver if I suspect they might pull out in front of me.

This can cause an accident. Please never do anything that can cause an accident. Pull over and let the driver pass, it's much safer.

One statistic I would love to see ... is the number of gates that need to be replaced, on average, by TV each month. The gate at Pinella and Buena Vista gets “boinked” one or two times every month!

The only thing I noticed with the gates is that late in the day when the sun is setting it is impossible to see the gates. One never knows if the gates are down or up either. I also noticed that the vast magority of the gates face east kr west hence the difficulty at sunrise & sunset. I can’t comment on the other issues.
