This is what we are writing about. A car length is not enough

If you drove in NYC 1/2 a car length is the norm--otherwise you'll never ge a chance to merge

Golf carts are driven way too fast. Going the speed limit means nothing. Often go down Belvedere and get passed constantly. Golf carts not road licensed racing down the street outside of the golf cart lane.

That and on street parking is limited and parking garages are expensive.
I had to train a small group of new soldiers how to drive. I asked these guys why they didn't know how to drive, they were between 19 and 21. I had a license two days after I turned 16. They told me that there wasn't anywhere to park a car and if you did own one it was likely to be stolen a few days after you bought it. Subways and busses were their means of travel in the city.

There is nothing to discuss. We all know there are "people who break the law and are dangerous". So what? There is nothing we can do about it.

However, we can modify our behavior to minimize the chance these crazy drivers will hurt us.

I love the name you chose.

If you are in so much of hurry then pass on the right! Oh, that's not legal? Why is it you feel you have the right to obey only some laws and not all laws?

What makes you think it was a resident who did this?

It doesn't need to be posted. It's a given: the left lane is a passing lane, the right lane is a local/slower lane.

If you're not actively trying to pass someone OR preparing to turn left, then you don't belong in the left lane. It doesn't even matter how fast or slow you're going. Stay left to pass or turn left, stay right for everything else.

Totally agree, I don’t condone drinking and driving, but I would feel safer driving home after happy hour than driving home when high school gets out and all the kids are staring at their phones while driving. And please don’t use the villages app on your phone for directions in your golf cart unless you have a passenger using the phone and telling you where to go.

Self-explanatory.

And to be fair..."don't be that woman" either.

I've discovered a new "law" of the road-----The overall speed of traffic on a highway is inversely proportional to the number of Priuses on that road
