Good morning.

Some of the places in the Historic Area were going for less than lot value IMHO. To buy up a bunch of teardowns, replace them with modern dwellings and sell them at a fine profit makes sense to me!

This has been going on in my 1962 beach close neighborhood in SoCal for years. A lot of smart money got in when the market took a dive. Now with the upturn the buyers are building new homes on great sites, some for their own use; others for resale. http://articles.latimes.com/2014/jan...downs-20140104

I see a bunch of Manufactured Homes" showing as pendings on the Historic side.

Yep. But only four are under $100,000. The rest are $120,000+ and up into the $140s. Plus unless the developer closed on a bunch of them already (so they're not listed as pending; they're off the site), there really aren't enough pending to say he's buying up the historic side.

But BK, if you go to that site, you will find addresses. If you want. (I can't remember if you want.)

My wish, foolish, as it may be, is that people on discussion boards would speak and act the same way they would in person.

I think they are..........................

The homes that have been abandoned are pretty much at the lowest possible price. The lots over here are valued at $39,000. There are homes here that have sold for that, but they are pretty much ready to be torn down. On on Dustin just went in an absolute auction. I have no idea what it went for but it is a mess an has been sitting for a long time.

Go to what site? I'm confused (but that isn't unusual).

Oh, never mind. I just reread the post before your post.
