Default Morse Repairs

Now they are going to begin working once again on Morse, after a long delay they waited until snowbirds return so that traffic can back up even more. They received a $1,000,000 grant for this work and it makes me wonder why they raised Sumter county taxes to repair the roads. Replacing these commissioners might be one of the best things to happen to the county in a long time.

The current commissioners got the grant, not the incoming dudes.

Work will be done at night. 7pm to 7am. Way after most people’s bedtimes.

In all seriousness wonder why they waited this long? There are potholes that rival the ones we had in NYC.

Because the funds for that portion were not available until October 1st when the budget kicked in for fiscal year 2020-2021. What I don't understand is why it wasn't part of the 2019-2020 FY or why that section wasn't done first and a different less damaged section was put off until October 1. Maybe because it was so much worse and they have to do a lot more digging rather than just scraping of the top to properly fix it and cost a lot more ??

Hope this time the contractors do not park equipment and drive cars and trucks all over the nice landscaped areas and ruin the landscape.
We will then have to pay $$ for resodding and replanting. This money comes from our maintenance fees.

Need whoever supervises this work to tell them to “keep off the grass”
