Sorry but nothing can replace a deep New York City (FDR) pothole Can’t tell you how many tires, bent rims, struts, shocks I had to replace but understandable due to freezing & thawing. But what’s the reason down here? Surely there must be improvements in road surfacing materials after all these years that stands the test of time?

So.? Thats what maintenance fees are for. No one is asking for additional money.

And what, park their trucks and equipment in the roadway? Not a very good choice. Guess they could just shut the road down till they're done.

Plenty of communities out there that are gated. All the streets are owned by the community. That means that they can decide when they get worked on. Perhaps have a look around at those places and choose the one that you will be happy living in. Imagine a life without thoughts of "The Developer" making you angry every other day.

I'm happy to hear that the money has been appropriated and that that section of Morse Blvd will be resurfaced

Long Island was no bargain either. Rims, Tires, Alignments can't tell you how many. Some of these people have never seen a Pothole!
As for the trucks parking on the grass no big deal it's only grass and it will be fixed. As for the road really quite smart to leave the worst for last guaranteed return to finish the job and once again it worked. And gee doing it at night so minimal traffic interference!

Why would you possibly be complaining about this? For a few days inconvenience (actually night) we will have a road that is better than new. The way Buena Vista was done, as well as the rest of Morse, was most impressive. I watched the entire process (at different times); the milling, sweeping, priming, paving and striping was a well choreographed process and quite professional. The results are beautiful. In most places it would take forever to get a pothole filled, much less and entire new road!

A million dollar grant is welcomed but really just a “drop in the bucket” when it comes to the overall budget.

Stay off the grass, really? Where do you suggest they park their equipment? Resodding costs are most likely included in the project cost.
