I’m from NORTHERN MN. Correct, there are no mosquitoes here.

They like sweet. If you wear perfume out it’s a go too for them. They are here year round. Since Hurricanes we had could have brought them out more right now. Are you living close to wooden area?
Most people get screened patio or lani.TV does have spraying. I’m a Floridian Florida has many types of bugs you will come across in different areas.

This is why we hope for at least one hard freeze each winter. It kills off the mosquitos so the next summer doesn't have so many.

I used to live near Houston TX where we had tons of them. The large subdivision we lived in built bat houses on the property and we had around 5,000 bats living with us. They would hang around during the day (literally) and as soon as the sun went down they would be out eating mosquitoes all night. It really helped a lot.

I just sit next to my Brother. He is a mosquito magnet.

Mosquitoes are world wide !

Must be those southern villages skeeters, way up north in villages were I live rarely see, hear, or get bitten by skeeter in my area. But we don’t have those swampy breading ground in northern villages.

Why doesn’t that work in Alaska or Canada?

Avon sells a product called Skin So Soft. It comes in several forms. I have some towelettes and have used them while doing yard work. Keeps them away.

Mosquitoes don't seem to like me but my neighbor can't be outside for a few minutes without them bombarding her. There is a product (sorry I don't know the name of it) that can be purchased through a quilt shop in Ephrata Washington. They don't carry it themselves but sell it for a local business I believe. There are actually two products that they swear by. One keeps the mosquitoes away and the other helps to eliminate the itching afterwards. I have purchased fabric from this shop and was happy with their service. They have been in business for 24 or 25 years, a mother and daughter duo. If you want to try the product give them a call and let them know what you need. If the person you are speaking with on the phone is not familiar with the product ask for Brianna or Cindi (owners.) Word! Northern mosquitos are lethargic but make up for it in shear volume.

Mosquito borne illness is serious business. The thermocell Certainly works. Looks like they’re about to double in price.

I agree. The most mosquitoes that I ever encountered was in Alaska. The 2nd most was in Maine. I occasionally see or have them buzz near my ear, but The Villages sprays BIG TIME and I see very few. Maybe some in the summer after a rain.

They don't like lemon. Get some body lotion or spray it works. Carmex if you get bit, rub it in really good.

Well I must
live in a protected zone because I don't think there are any mosquitoes here that I can actually experience and we live on a pond. We also go down to the squares at night and there's never one mosquito that I've found. Maybe the gaters keep them away. Compared to New York this is heaven.
