The Tire Guy - 352-434-2254, Andy Robinson

All good info, but how much do each of these ideas cost? If they charge $80 or so just to come out is it still worth it?

That guy that comes to your home is very expensive. Reduces your savings of buying online.

Let someone make some money

If you can find the tire on the internet, why not let one of the tire guys that's been thousands of dollars renting their spaces and paying for labor make a few extra dollars? I'm sure they can also find it also. Sometimes it's not worth being cheap and that way you have somebody to go back to if the tire is bad.
Let's face it you're going to spend that extra $20 on lunch anyway

If I owned a tire shop capable of mounting golf cart tires, and you walked in carrying your own tires, I would turn you away.

banjobob 03-26-2022 07:05 AM

Good luck , I mount my own , no one wants to mount tires they didn’t sell, not enough money in it considering the effort required.

jpvillager 03-26-2022 01:36 PM

Don't use Sams. They will sell you tires but will not mount them on our styled rims. This suggests they either don't have the right equipment or the expertise or both.

The mark up on each tire way more than $20 bucks. That’s what he don’t want to pay.

Aluminum or magnesium rims have thicker bead rim which makes tire extremely harder to dis-mount and mount, increases the chance of scratch or bust them if not trained properly, Then get the whinny complaint you ruined it my rims. That’s why they won’t do it no more.

They could have done the alignment and charged me but didn't. I would go there again. Purchasing the tires online and having them mounted here saved me almost $200 over Par Car's estimate.

Hi. I need 4 tires mounted. Are you sure that the shop is Tires Plus and not Tire Choice? I could not find a Tires Plus online in Colony. Nearest Tires Plus is down in Leesburg per their website. Thanks.

Thanks. I am aware that Tire Choice is in Colony via online search. I was asking Songbird for clarification as he/she stated "I had mine done at Tires Plus at Colony Plaza." I thought maybe both had shops in Colony. I do not frequent Colony.
