Default Dismissing Monthly Civil Alert on CenturyLink

For some reason I can not dismiss the "required monthly alert" issued by the civil authorities from the TV. It times out after a few minutes and pops back up a few minutes later.
The messages says to press Exit to dismiss message. I used to be able to do just that using the TV remote rather than the CenturyLink remote. This time nothing works. I have tried resetting the cable box, went to the other TV and could not dismiss it there either so it is not the remote itself.

Anyone else having this issue? (And found a solution?)

Just had it happen. I usually just push the OK button or TV button and it goes away

Just timed it. On for 3 minutes, off for 5. Should disappear totally at 3:50
