Moving - oh yes

I moved to The Villages in April. Have not been sorry for a minute. No one can tell you to move now or later, just follow your instincts. There is enough open to enjoy and MOST people are following social distancing and wear masks. Before moving I spend a lot of time looking at floor plans and available homes. Do your research. Someone suggested renting. Not a bad idea. Will give you a good feel of an area.

If you check the Florida health web site and look up Sumter county which the majority of the villages is locate. You will notice that the COVID is low compared to other countUse in the state.

I am planning to move into a new home, either a spec house or a new build, in a new village.
I am wondering about my timing.
I am attracted to the Villages because of the variety of activities and the friendly people I have encountered on previous visits.
I am looking for input on the timing of my move. I would love to go soon but concerned about the impact of the virus on life up there.
I am living fairly safely here in Vero.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions about the timing?
Thank you

The number of cases in The Villages have been found to be inflated almost 89 percent by atleast 50 medical establishments! Medicare pats $39,000 per Covid patient which has caused Medicare fraud. Don’t live in fear. Come on over, join some of the single golf groups and enjoy! It’s a great place to live!!

This is a great place to be regardless of Covid or not. The style of home and LOCATION is everything. Personally I would not live north of 466 but not down as far as Fenny. Fenny is still far away from everything yet. Nitin Khitbat is a great realtor that is so helpful and knows his stuff. There’s no guarantee when things will ever be back to normal.
Good luck.

We moved here a couple of months and really like this place but would think if safe at home and not quite ready to move would wait for this to be over.

I don't know about your area but up by the Paradise Rec Center, the only things that aren't open are activities IN the Rec Center building itself. All outdoor activities are open. Softball, basketball, pickleball, tennis, the pool, archery range, dog park, walking trails, the outdoor fitness park, shuffleboard, bocce, it's all open.

Move if it feels right. There are many activities open again, slowly inside rec. centers but outside gangbusters. I have a 2/2 patio villa for sale in Buttonwood. Contact April at ReMax Freedom. I would not live south of 44 at this time.

Unfortunate that you feel that way, could it be because you cannot sell a new home in TV? All of the newest amenities are south of 44, lots of people are selling their homes north of 44 and moving south and for good reason, the Chitty Chatty bridge has announced a September opening, seems to be younger more active residents, no crowds, a lot more nature, and just about the only area that you can buy a spec home or build what you want and that is exactly what the OP states she is looking for.
