By not being a resident of TV who reads.

TV residents know that priority pool-only is available for a reasonable fee, and that buying the whole golf deal to get priority pool use is a false claim.

Some can't stand it that the developers have become wealthy here. I like it, because I feel wealthy here as a result of simply buying a $200k home.

Thanks Gracie!

When I first visited the Villages in 2010, I met a group of guys at the Tiki bar at Orange Blossom. I walked in by myself and I don't remember anyone asking for Priority IDs.

I went to Orange Blossom November last year, there was a lady at the pool gate and she asked me for ID, told me I needed CC priority membership. I asked what that was and she explained the golf stuff came with pool up grade. I was turned off the minute she mentioned golf stuff...I asked my neighbor who had lived here for 12 years and he said it was like $700 a year.

I was told your theory that is spot on. Now the problem is resolving the bid issues that I understand are not going well.

Do you have any idea where the funds for the remodel of those pool areas were acquired? Just curious...
I read the budgets each year and there is nothing in the amenity budget for cc restaurant remodel's.

If you are curious give Country Club Admin a call they can satisfy your worry.

Did you read that on the BOH web site of violations?

The bar was part of the restaurant, use of the pool was another thing. The first time we were here in TV nine years ago,we listened to Kareoke (sp?) at the Orange Blossom Pool Bar and later that month I learned from a TOTV'r that the you had to be a member of the pool to use the pool. They don't have a pool bar there anymore, it is just a pool.

I would suspect this is just a rumor. Why let the facts get in the way of a good rumor? I did check the web site for restaurant inspections in Marion and Sumter counties. From what
I found there were no violations for the Lopez CC resturants.

I will add the caveat that the data for Sumter County seemed to be out of date. The data search for Marion County did not include TV zip code.

I haven't yet spoke with management but I will be making some calls. I thought I would put it out there in case someone here on TOTV did have some information regarding the situation. I really didn't think management would be available for phone calls at approximately 11pm when I posted.

The fourth reply to your post states there was a delay in the permitting process.... Let us know if you get a different answer.

I did speak with management at Legacy Restaurant today. I was told there was a delay due to the fact that the renovation of the pool itself took longer than expected which John Macdonough, (may be spelled wrong), owner of Legacy, had no control over and that permits are in the making and that hopefully renovation of the pool bar will start in about a week. Legacy only recently learned that the rest rooms were not being maintained and that it has been addressed and taken care of.

Yes there is fee to play on all clay courts in the villages, Glenview (6 courts)and Lopez (4 courts) are the only clay courts in the villages. Depending on your status it will range from 9 to 16 dollars if resident slight higher if non resident or play singles at prime time. Prime time are mornings and afternoons up to 3:30 then the rate drops some (couple dollars).
