Except then we’re left with no way to run gas dryer and gas range. I imagine getting the necessary electric lines installed to use an electric dryer and an induction range is likely several thousand dollars, plus the cost of the new dryer and range. Unlikely hubby will go for it even with it being safer for us during lightning storms. Thanks though!

We have a veranda, which is a designer model with privacy fencing. I’m thinking you’re correct though and our gas range does vent through attic to roof. I’ll ask hubby if he’s ever checked when up in attic.

Same here, except have used gas stoves since childhood in 50s/60s when as kids my four siblings and I would fight over the two electric wall heaters in our small home during winter, causing one or two of us to use the gas burners on the kitchen stove to warm up. No ventilation that I can remember either. 72 now and still kicking, lol.
