Default Need handyman

Looking for a good handyman or electrician to help with pool light dilemma. Light burned out and pool guy pulled light cord through conduit without first removing putty. Now putty is stuck somewhere in the 100 ft conduit. There’s a ground wire already in the conduit and they can’t fish new light through without getting stuck. They said they have no idea how to fix it and haven’t been back to address missing light. Advice and recommendations appreciated.

Seems like it’s up to the pool guy to correct problem. The average handyman probably doesn’t have a fish tape over 100 feet.
Another option is a 1/8 rope tied to a rag or plastic bag and use wet dry vacuum to suck rope and plug through conduit. My last unground pool had a riser with junction box jus outside pool cage making it about a 20ft run

Can you attach a new light cord and a new ground wire to the existing ground wire and pull everything through the conduit using the existing ground wire? Just a thought.

Sounds like a good idea but I’d need someone who can do it. Any handyman thoughts?

OP, first lower the water in the pool, then use a suitable strong nylon rope attached at one end of the ground wire. You and a friend (?) need to pull on the other end of the ground wire, I am suggesting the rope be connected at the circuit breaker panel, and you pull the wire and rope the toward the pool. Once the rope is in the pool you should be able to attach the new cable to the rope and pull back to the circuit breaker panel. NOTE: I would include an additional rope with the cable, as this might save some time if you ever need to do this again in the future.
I would be glad to help, however, I already have several projects that need to be completed before the holidays, and i expect to be tied up for other reasons for 3 or 4 months in to 2023.

The pool company has walked away from the project. It is absolutely amazing to me. I think a good handyman would be able to fix this so any recommendations on a good handyman would be great.

Here are some handyman numbers, but I don't have personal experience with them.

Joe Podrasky, 814-660-3848
Jeff Beaver, 239-699-6830
Ray McCain, 352-460-2996
Tim, 352-217-0561

But, I think an electrician would better equipped to solve your problem.
