Default Need Help with Driving Directions

On our way to the Villages from Princeton NJ, we are stopping in Chesapeake VA to visit relatives and are considering taking Route 13 (Eastern Shore of Virginia) rather than 95. Does anyone have a recommendation as to which would be a better choice? Thanks.

We did that once and it was better scenery than Rte 95 but if you want to get here instead of looking around stay on 95. IMHO.

If you are picking 13 up in Delaware then my recollection from years ago is a lot of stop and go as you have a lot of local traffic. I do not think you can find a better way than 95 and I agree 95 can be bad, especially south of Washington DC.

I make the drive here from the NJ shore (LBI) and the traffic on 95 depends a great deal on the time of day and day of the week. Lumberton, NC is a very nice place to stop for the night. The hotels are very close to 95 and there are quite a few restaurants in the immediate area of the hotels. Very clean, very safe. Get ready to pump your own gas! Jersey does not allow that....so it may be an adjustment.
