Two different businesses. Villages Airport Van provides transportation from home to the airport. It's a shared ride service with multiple stops, picking up and dropping people off. Getting to/from your home can take upwards of two hours.

The Villages Transportation shuttle picks up and drops off at Brownwood and Lake Sumter Landing. It's also a shared ride, but it's a direct shot from Brownwood to the airport. No stops. Their schedule isn't always a fit, but if it is, it's a good service. You can get the Villages Taxi to pick you up or drop you off at your home and transport you to the square to pick up the shuttle.

Shuttle runs from the Shuttle Stations at LSL & BW.
Van runs 24 hours a day and picks you up at your house.

Shuttle is a better option if their schedule lines up with your flights and someone can pick you up or drop you off at LSL or Brownwood. Van runs about every half hour 24/7 and picks/drops you at your home, but makes many stops. Van is good if you live in southern sections of Villages since you are one of last pick ups or first to be dropped off. The further north you live, the Van service becomes much worse of an option. If you live North of 466 like we do, the Van service takes forever as every ride winds up being an extended tour of the Villages. And the Van service for people living up north continues to get worse as the southern sections of the Villages rapidly grow. If you are traveling alone both of these services are the most cost effective, but if you are traveling with 2 or more people then it is better to either hire a private driver or get a one way rental. We have rented from Hertz in SS and Enterprise in LSL, I don't know if you can get a one way rental to Brownwood or Feeny?
