Everyone should own these they are fantastic. You simply replace your toilet seat. You need an electrical outlet. A reputable electrician should put them in. One went right through our wall via another outlet the cost was a little over $100. The second one for our other bathroom had to go through the attic and cost us about $240. The toilet itself from Amazon under $200. You get your choice of an elongated or round. We preferred the elongated. Both my husband and I love it!! Great present for Mom. This is the one we ordered. We have the Kohler C3-325. Same positive results as the rest of the comments here. It does add a little height, which I think is good. It also seems to be slanted forward a bit, also good. $300 on Amazon. TOTO is a great brand as well. Don't know about the seat itself. Looking at tahe TOTO online, it has the remote panel mounted on the side of the seat. I would think a wall mount would be more accessible. Also, FYI, we removed the seat cover. It's huge.

Same one I have been using for years. Plastic chrome handles don’t like bleach or shower cleaners. I had to buy new knobs

We have a Toto Washlet and love it. Purchased at Ferguson in Orlando but they also have a store in Ocala. You will need an electrical outlet on the wall behind the toilet.

There are a few things that separate them into 2 groups.

1. Non-electric can be thought of as a hose with a unique nozzle. Still need some TP to dry off. Controls are typ along the side of the rear of the seat. If purchasing because of a medical/mobility reason, consider an electric one.

2. Electric types add features. Most significant is heated air to dry you off. Other features are remote control, multiple spray patterns, automated nozzle movements, heated water, heated seat, bowl cleaning spray.
The heated water can be via a small built-in tank, or on-demand tankless heat.
Most people never use TP anymore.
Requires a standard GFCI outlet.

I also had one in last home. I loved it. Only cost me $100 to add GFCI. It was a company in Leesburg, but forgot who it was. Now we just have hand held sprayers that work well...

Clear Rear… we have 2 and it’s all you need in a climate like Florida. No heated water needed. $39 each and they work great. Takes abou 10 minutes to install

Brondell
 

I put in 2 Brondell Washlet S300 bidet seats. The S300 is lower end (no pun intended) butt (sic) suits our needs. Brondell has other models with features like a dryer or lights, etc. All our remote controlled and require a 120v gfci outlet close to the toilet and preferably on it's own breaker. We tried initially using a shared breaker, then after troubleshooting mysterious blinking lights to the fact that the bidet's water heater was simply doing its job of cycling on and off to keep the reservoir warm, we put it them dedicated breakers.

I bought the first one from a Villager who bought it and never installed it. The second one I bought on eBay new in the box. eBay was a little cheaper than direct from a store. You will have to buy whatever you want online, as I think nobody is selling them in-store.

I posted earlier about the bidet we installed. There have been many suggestions since my posting and there all valid. Some dealing with connivence and price and other with capabilities. In my previous posting I stated we purchased a bidet from a company called bio-bidet. We bought the top model at that time which was 6 years ago and since then it has come down in price, but what it offered as far as I was concern was worth the price. Heated seat and water with controls to handle both temperatures and pressure of the spray. A spray for cleaning front and rear, plus a setting for an enema. A setting for drying which almost eliminate the use of toilet paper. There is also a number of other settings that I don't even use. Before you purchase a bidet figure out what features you want and what you're willing to pay. There are a number of companies that sell this product, as I said I went with Bio Bidet, I have no affliction with this company, but they had all the feature I though my wife needed since she was in wheelchair. She recently passed and I started using it myself, I did not know what I was missing.

if your toilet is located next to the sink area you can run a heavy duty extension chord to the bidet. The outlet is GFI.

This thread piqued my interest and I've been reading online reviews of the products mentioned. I came across this review submitted by Chris A. and I've been laughing on and off whenever I think of it.

So I’m going to share this experience with everyone, I hope you get a kick out of it. I kinda did.
So I fell victim to these Facebook ads about how my butt wasn’t clean enough and got my ocd thinking is my butt dirty?? Oh I can’t have a dirty butt !! No way ! So I jumped on Amazon and got me one of them little butt washing potty retrofits delivered the next day. It came today and after 10 minutes of a frustrating install thinking I had stripped the stupid plastic connection parts on my toilet, all is good with no leaks and we’re ready for a trial run. Okay here goes... now this is a trial run mind you so no real business going on, this is a very important detail and you’ll soon see why. I pulled down my pants, sat down and reached over to the controls to try this baby out. .......... Well all I can tell you is I heard a click from the knob I was starting to turn and y’all let me tell you I instantly felt a full stream blast of jet powered cold water shoot right up the ole pooper with such precision ida swore someone was aiming the damn thing. In that instant the signals traveled to my brain and without a conscious thought I jumped straight up and fell over towards the floor. As if this wasn’t bad enough the stupid knob doesn’t turn itself off when you let go of it so Im instantly followed off my launchpad by a stream of cold water, following me as I shot forward, up my back and blasting me right in the back of the head as I struggled to get away from this cold wet monster that was violating me. I struggled to reach the knob and turned it off before the whole bathroom got soaked. It’s all right I’m ok really

Go to Home Depot, for around $50 you can install it yourself! Love, love mine. I have one up north and here. Love it! Don’t worry about the cold water, it’s fine. I bought one for my daughter and she loves it as well. No need to buy anything else just the Bidet. Make sure you turn the knob gently…
