Come on with the houses so close proximity, it is impossible to walk on the side of a home without walking 5 feet from someones windows. It sounds like no one likes this person because he's different and all you folks in my opinion need to get a life if you are listening to a husband and wife having a dispite. Jezzzzzzz!!! i am glad i don't live in your neighborhood!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I can see that the blaring music at 6:30 AM might be a problem. However if your neighbor is doing yoga at noon, why would that offend you? |

Wow! This thread is popular I cant believe how many posts since I first visited it but then I do play golf in the cold weather.
don't really care what people do and am aware that there are probably things about me that others dislike. However on the serious side I believe there is a noise ordinance to refrain from noise until 8:00AM. At least that is best as I can recall. Besides being thoughtful is one of my good traits:D and I never do yard work until 8:00 AM so as not to disturb my late sleeping neighbors I also agree that the two people being discussed are no doubt really nice people and I hope they would view all this chatter as just having a little fun In fact I hope no one participating on this thread takes it that seriously. Its just another past time distraction ,etc for me . an opportunity to visit about various topics express an opinion but like a bad golf shot once done I think upon no more. speaking of which I have to shower( hope that's not too personal) and get to the golf course for an early tee time |

Simply trying to put things into proper prospective. Personally, I don't like people ganging up on anyone because they are different in appearance or behavior. I abhor the feeding frenzy by pseudo intellectuals who use witty phrases and words to bash people and simultaneously gather support from others under the guise of mature innocence and wisdom. I also don't like when one person who 's opinion deviates from the norm is summarily bashed so as to appear "weird", out of touch, with the same old love it or leave it attitude. People are different for a reason, they are individuals. If someone has the resources to buy a ticket into paradise they are entitled to live their life in any way they choose without harassment as long as they do no harm to others. |

Someone said ( read above ) that this is lighthearted, come on this is nothing more than bashing and bulling-in to someone that is different. Grow up folks! |

It might well be if we were naming names and kicking fanny. We don't know exactly where Chatbrat lives....don't know if there are dozens of Speedo wearers. Don't even know who Chatbrat is or who you are. The Speedo wearer or the driveway exerciser probably don't read TOTV...and if they do...well one needs to get a longer and NEWER bathing suit and the other could turn off the music. In my opinion. Which is worth absolutely nothing except to people who love me. I am not anonymous. Are you coming to the Friday TOTV gathering? Didn't think so. |

There's a lot conversations out there about people who are not like us. They are on tv and in the news all the time and we are constantly reminded that we ought to be afraid. I'd rather talk about speedos. |

I think you are right. I love Italian food. Except for squid. Never have tried it. Sissy. Tom. Diversion, humor, changing the subject and reasoning hasn't worked. I didn't aim to hurt anyone's feelings about their choice of bathing suits or about exercising, did you? I think exercising and wearing bathing suits are an excellent choice. I can't help trying to find a bit of humor in things that aren't that serious to begin with. I think you will agree? |

Never did like the college campus. Quit and joined the military knowing I'd be with people more like myself. Not that I couldn't keep up, just didn't like those people at all and didn't want to spend my career with people like them. |

My folks didn't have money to send kids to college. There are people who are good people who have a lot of formal education and those who have learned about life in the military or by working hard all of their lives. I am pretty sure all of us are more compassionate because of terribly hard and bitter things that have happened to us inevitably. If we have the ability to read people pretty well and truly care about others, we have won the lottery. |

Is squid one of those varmints that count as shellfish? When shellfish and I get together, one of us has to use the epipen and hurry to emergency.
I bet squid is a mollusk. I looked at it in the fish case at Publix. I think you have to grow up eating it. We Germans eat a bunch of other ugly stuff. |

Soooooo, let me get this straight. Exercising in the morning with no shirt and laying in your own yard and getting some sun is weird, narcissistic, nutso, crazy, out of your mind, nut case, etc. But taking a dog to a restaurant, pushing a dog around in a buggy, taking a dog to the store, dog in the front seat while spouse is in the back, stealing Sweet n Lo, roping off chairs at the square are all normal behavior???? Oh, and eating supper at 4:30.
Who would have thunk it..... |

My neighbor in Palm Harbor-- a Coast Guard helicopter pilot-- used to buzz the house every so often when he was on duty and off to see if his wife was cheating on him. The whole mess resulted in a divorce. No this was nothing to do with me but I was often in the pool on an mattress probably in a bathing suit. Homes in Palm Harbor had fences. Not ours as we had the pool with the lanai and birdcage. I have no complaints about people treating their Villages' pets very well. |
