Default New Brownwood area projects flyover

I finally the drone back from repair and have had a chance to do some flying around the area.

Incredible progress has been made in the Atwood Villas being constructed behind Publix. Nothing has been announced on the sale date yet, but the progress made from just 6 weeks ago has been phenomenal. The developer has taken the home building process to an artistic level to be this efficient. I was in the construction business for nearly 20 years and have never seen it run this well.

Shooters World is moving along quickly, finally, walls are up and the roof is going on. They're not as fast or as efficient as The Villages of Lake-Sumter, but they're trying.

The Lofts at Brownwood is a huge project being undertaken. I took a look through the fence at the clearing and preparation work going on between flights. Wow! I needed to wipe my feet before getting close to the fence so I didn't dirty the place. The usual mess and garbage from the work and workers did not exist. I spent all my adult life working jobs that required a high level of attention to detail (nuclear power and construction project management) and even at these early stages construction they show a great amount of attention to everything. One would hope the homes get the same level of attention to details.

Please don't start making calls and asking questions of when things are going to happen on these projects because of what you see in my videos. We all will need to wait for the public announcements. This is just a high tech peek over the construction fence.

Brownwood Area 8-10-18

Thanks for the new video. I have to ask where does one take their drone for repair?

There is a place in the Fort Lauderdale are called Drone Nerds that does repairs and a place in Tampa that does repairs. In this case I sent my back to the manufacturer, DJI, in California for repair. I purchased a form of repair insurance from the manufacturer that covers just about anything for repairs twice with deductibles of $99 the first time and $149 the second time in the first year. So drop a $2000 drone in the water, you send it in and they basically replace it for $99. Crash it into a tree or a wall, same thing. They only do it twice in the first year, after that your SOL. Overall a pretty good deal for $149 for the insurance.

In the case of my stupidity on this one last month, the repairs were $89 for parts and labor so it didn't count against my 2 oopses.

It was sickening feeling watching it go down, I hope not to have to use the insurance.

Great video. Atwood Villas are looking pretty close to completion. What composer(s) and piece(s) of music were in the video?
