Default New Businesses Coming To Brownwood

From March 24 Daily Sun

Babette's Furniture and Home has leased more than 10,800 square feet at 3683-3699 Meggison Road. It will open late summer.

FMK Restaurant Group has leased nearly 6,000 square feet for Bluefin Seafood Grill and Bar at 2738 Brownwood Blvd. FMK operates various country clubs in TV, such as Bonifay, as well as Scooples Ice Cream Parlor. It is set to open in September.

Thanks for the heads up. Hope Bluefish is on par with Bonefish or better! We need more seafood places here.

I’m sure the building down south will do nothing but
increase business in the Brownwood area.
This is good news.

For what it's worth, FMK are the folks that operate a few of the country clubs (Bonifay, Belle Glade, Evans Prairie and Orange Blossom Hills) plus Scooples. That seems to be ALL of their restaurants at present. I've got a feeling that if you like them, you'll probably like the upcoming Bluefish. If you don't, you probably won't.

More Villages country club quality food? I hope not, but I will wait to find out.

Kind of, but it was always nice to do a walkthrough when southern lifestyle was in LSL. Have to say we bought something just by doing a drive by. Now with Babette on property dropping in is so much easier than, do you want to take the car out and drive to Babette’s

They do a good job at Belle Glade and Bonifay. Different themes, menus, and price points at each. Not quite so cookie cutter. She Crab Soup and the Steak Wedge Salad at Bonifay and the Grouper at Belle Glade are three of my favs.
