Default New Car Prices - Ford Bronco $70K markup dealer sticker

You think the 10K markup is bad, try a $70 K markup

MSP 63K, dealer markup $72 K

For Sale price $135K

enlarge on your monitor to see the dealer markup stated clearly. .

Not a ripoff, as everything is stated clearly. .

They ran up the price of the new 392 Hemi jeep wrangler. Only made 4000 of them and they were running 10 to 20 k over sticker. Then you see them being flipped on hemmings and auction sites for 105,000 dollars. I told my dealer I would pay sticker, I'll wait til economy turns south.

Hum the good old days. I too bought a used VW a 1964. It had 40,000 miles on it. A tune up you could do it with a book of matches as a feeler gauge. After driving it for another 100,000 miles there was not much left but I got $15O for it from some guy that turned it into a dune buggy.

Home, we bought a 3 bedroom BATH AND A HALF at $55000.

In my garage, I have coffee cans filled with screws etc. They were a full pound and still marked ninety eight cents.

We tend to forget what we were earning. I'm sure my back did not hurt and the guy looking back at me in the mirror looked far younger.

Reminds me when the Ford GT-40 was brought back, list was $150k I was actually looking at buying one, actual street price over $300K. Somehow we got luck, purchased a VW Atlas, below the sticker about 4 months ago. What is going on now is ridiculous.

The Bronco is a hot item, old and new. It's amazing.

These markups are for specialized cars/trucks. The bronco is new and they can’t make them fast enough. The ford gt will set you back over $500k new. I had a friend that bought an Enzo Ferrari for $1.2M and was offered $1.6M for it after he used it a while and he didn’t sell it.

see thread above. yup, the rip-off attempts are everywhere. Unless you are desperate, I suggest either buying in another State, or waiting this whole thing out until next year

Default Ripoff sure

It's called capitalism folks and you have every right to spend all of your extra money from the 100% markup in the stock market over the last 4 years. However I will say I'm extremely upset at the general inflation rate. My son is trying to buy a home and those have gone up 100% literally in one year where he is looking. The average price is $600 to $800 per square foot for used homes. I don't know how our children and grandchildren will be able to afford to live as well as we have lived over the years, unless we end up giving them our fortunes when we die. By the way I'm probably not going to have anything left to give and I've told them all that

After hurricanes, we have gauging laws against excessive mark up of in demand products. Why wouldn’t there be limit of price inflation now? I strongly believe in the free enterprise system of or economy, but also realize there are those that will take advantage of it if possible.

Could not agree more...unfortunately tho, every other commercial you hear these days now ends with "AND IT IS FREE!!" Until and unless and it is free quits being a mantra for our country, we (and our free economy) are screwed.

That dealership is in Oklahoma. I wonder what local mark up is. I'm too lazy to check, it might be even more.
