It's indicated on the map that surfaced a few days ago. Also noticed that it appears that ther first "subdivision" south of 466A will be up on Morse. Sort of surprised me as the Buena Vista infrastructure is further along than Morse. We live close to Seabreeze and have begun to use the southern extension of BV as if it had always been there. My wife's preference for the Speckled Butterbean sort of helps that decision point though and it's easier to get to I75 or the turnpike.
Noticing the speed of construction just south of Seabreeze makes one wonder just how long before they jump 466A. Isn't it a dynamic atmospehere on the southern environs of the villages?? |

Key to Hometown atmosphere
This is fantastic, to have another Villages hospital opening soon! Hometown hospitals are key components of the hometown atmosphere we love here.

New " Villages Hospital"
As a resident of The Villages I find it interesting we refer to these faciliies as "Villages Hospital"
Fortunately these facilities are open to all. Disapointed that only 7% of its'usage will be allocated to medicaid, patients etc. Wouldn't it be great if the Villages corporation supported the surrounding comminities more agressively. The residents of The Villages, provide signifigant volunteer services. |

Is the equipment being furnished by the hospital itself or are they seeking donations to equip it?

"Last year The Villages increased Sumter County’s tax base by about $450 million." This is quoted on page 8 of the June 2010 Villages Homeowners Association Voice, in an article giving building permit statistics, at: http://www.thevha.net/Village_Voice/June2010.pdf I've read several times over the last couple of years how Sumter County has risen from being one of the poorest counties in the state, to among the richest because of TV increasing the tax base. Also, TV has done so while preserving and enhancing green space, with all the golf courses, new trees, vegetation, etc., and its model water conservation program. Many places could only dream of developers helping the surrounding communities as much, by generating hundreds of millions more in taxes for the whole county(ies). |

As long as this one does not wind up like the new surgery center
across from the WAterfront hotel in LSL.
Or the intensive care hospital on 472 that has sat completed and empty for months on end. btk |
