There is a huge difference between a Walmart Super Store and a Walmart Neighborhood Market, other than the size of the store.

Walmart Neighborhood stores are traditionally, much more expensive than the Super Stores. My guess is to be prepared for these stores to be on a parallel with Publix, price-wise.

I just did a quick search to see if the neighborhood stores are more EXPENSIVE than the superstores. Doesn't seem to bear that out. My wife knows prices, we will see.

I remember reading that this store will offer a service where you can order and pay for your groceries on line, drive to the store, and they will load your purchase into your car. You don't even have to get out. I believe these stalls are for grocery pick-up. This will be a great service for less-able Villagers, and for those in a hurry.

Here is another article, this one from Business Insider, that says the prices are the same in Walmart Superstores and Neighborhood Walmarts;

As I recall, the plans DO call for gas pumps. There are 2 covered areas fronting Moyer. One could be pumps and the other this rumored grocery pick up.

I think that a lot of people will be ordering online and getting there groceries delivered to their vehicle. The is a large awning to drive under. I think, but not sure that when you order on your mobile device that you can set up your app so the store know when you pull into their lot. The best thing is NO FEES for this service. Plus, saving you a lot of time.

If this is true, in my opinion there is going to be a real problem getting groceries to your car. Because there is only one small door at the left back of the building. Still a mystery!

I don't know where you got your information, but I don't think there is a price difference.

I don't think so, try it and see when they open.

I can't speak for how they will deliver online orders to TV customers, but at other Walmart stores that offer the online shopping/pickup, the orders are delivered directly out the front door.

Since it's all new construction, this new Walmart will probably offer something more convenient.

The traffic getting and out, will be a mess!

To those posters who have supplied articles, comments and questions regarding the price comparisons between the WalMart Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets, I can only say my comments are from my own experience.

I have shopped Walmarts in Pompano Beach; Deerfield Beach; Boca Raton; Coconut Creek; Hypoluxo, Florida, in Louisiana, Nevada and probably even more of their stores than that, but these are the ones that quickly come to mind. I have shopped WalMart for many years -- not because I like the store (because I don't!), but because there are certain items I buy on an ongoing basis, and for these items their prices are the lowest.

When I have shopped for the items I usually buy in quantity, I have found their Neighborhood Market to be higher in price than the Supercenter.

The only thing I can say to those who have criticized me for my opinion, is that everyone, including me, will have to play the wait and see game regarding prices at the new store.

I will say without equivocation, that prices throughout Walmart, from one store to another, are not the same on many items. This is a fact.
