Default New Post Chevron?

Has anyone else had an issue with the new post chevron either not being there for posts that you have not read at all or bringing you to a place in the thread that you had already read?

I just noticed a NEW thread called Crowds at Lake Sumter Landing Today which I had never read 1 post in. There was no new post chevron next to the listing yet I had never been in the thread? And yes I am logged in.

I'm not trying to complain but maybe if others are having issues with it...

It seems to work much differently than the old forum in that regard.

Perhaps it is just user error?

I agree, Russ. Sometimes I click on the new post chevron and it takes me to posts I have already read, other times it seems to work the way we were told it would.

Same here, Russ. I just figured it was a glitch in the system.

Admins - Another note - When I reply to a thread (like I just did for this one and the Registered Nurses thread) you would think that it would automatically remove the chevron since I'm the last post in the thread. But it doesn't. I'm sure you'll figure it out

Peachie, not a glitch, it's a "feature" LOL

JohnN, oops... er, you're right. I just ignore those "features" that don't affect my life too much and keep on enjoying the sight.

Note for admins: I just found out that if you don't go back to the main forum page and then back into the sub forum (like General Discussion etc) then the chevron is not updated. You could also just refresh the sub forum by using the browser refresh. Perhaps this is some setting in the forum rules that could be turned on? For example I just read every thread that I was not up to date on in General Discussion and then just left from that page instead of returning to the main forum page or hitting refresh. When I came back the new chevron was still on for all the threads that I had just finished and there was nothing new.

I'm just trying to help the admins out with a little user experience - it's not a big deal.
