We bought in Marsh Bend because the salesman assured us the Magnolia Plaza would be up and running "Spring 2020." He also assured us the golf cart bridge from Marsh Bend/DeLuna to Brownwood would be finished "Spring/Summer 2020." A great price on the house is not so great now - and the Virus had nothing to do with it.

Please elaborate on why a great price is not so great now.

They're moving dirt to the new haul yard, they do this all the time. Eventually the dirt will be moved back or to a new location. There was one at the corner of 468 and the turnpike, across from Everglades, 2 years ago and now it's gone and they are building in Meggison Rd. There is one now at 301 and Turnpike, the dirt has been there about 9 months. There is another scheduled at the north end of the West Lakes development area.

The only real construction work scheduled for south of 470 is the construction management building near the haul road.

Amazing how much earth they move around, roughly 10 dump trucks a minute, 7 hrs a day, 6 days a week since January.

After living here a while, I began to realize that Dirt is an inventory item for the developer. In other words, I believe someone keeps track of how cubic yards of dirt are here, how many over there, etc. Then when it's needed somewhere else, they know where to send the trucks.

I live in Sunset Pointe....where you’ll find Cane Garden and it’s restaurant. The other direction down Bailey/Odell is Mallory. Ten minutes by golf cart to Palmer and Havana. I can be at 15 executive courses within 15 minutes. At night I can take a 10 minute ride to Sumter Landing on my golf cart. At least 15 restaurants to choose from.
Harold Schwartz and Gary Morse planned amenities first and home sales quickly followed.
I’m not sure that’s the current building plan

Yes, lots of them, and documented via Sumter County Property Records as well as personal knowledge of friends who have sold and purchased even larger homes.

It will all work out. The economy tanking sure hasn't helped things. I do see a slow down in building. So many future retirements have been put on hold since many 401K's have been hit hard.

The Costco will be NOT be built on 44. It will be closer to the Ocala area. Watch and see it happen.

Sunset Pointe is 15 years old, give us a chance to age and have more accessibility. For now we too have one restaurant in the Village of Fenney just like you have only one in your village, we can be at 5 executive courses in 15 minutes, we can be at Paddock Square in less than 10 minutes by car, and by golf car in the not too distant future. We are very close to the new Villages 24 hour emergency room and 15 minutes from Leesburg Hospital which is important. We have pitch and putt, we have putt and play and several resort style pools, amenities that you do not have. Most people that live here are very happy just as most people that live near you are very happy. Just a side note, had we not decided to live in Fenney Sunset Pointe was our backup, we rented winters up there and really liked your village as well as Cane Garden. Lots of great places to live in TV.
