Default How many villages are there?

I am looking at TV to retire, but find it very confusing. How many villages are there?
Are the amenities the same in all? What are the distances between villages? What are the best places to look into? Any what don't you like about any of them? And is there a map showing all the villages as a whole? Thanks

grammy...here are some quick answers....most of your questions have been discussed at length somewhere on this board.

There is on The Villages, made up of many neighborhoods that have names (Caroline, De la Vista, etc); amenities have gotten better as time has passed...newer neighborhoods have many pools, rec centers, etc. to choos from....less so in older areas; but, all residents have access to all amenities.

The distance from North to South when TV is finished will be about 14 miles...it is huge; someone posted a link to a map (or better yet buy the $5 complete roadmap).

There are no bad neighborhoods...all of TV is populated with friendly, happy people. All new stuff is now between 466 and 466A; resales are all over; find the house that suits your needs for location, size, features, and price and go for it. You will not be disappointed. If you've never been here, come visit for at least a week and check it out.

Good Luck.
