Default "The Newcomers Guide"

Nobody has mentioned "The Newcomers Guide" that came out today with the "Daily Sun". A wealth of information and lots of coupons too.

My guess is that 70% will be in the recycle bin with mine before tomorrow morning. What a waste of money!

Complaints about the Thursday inserts and how much money it costs, then a book like this gets printed, along with the other Village magazines.???????

While a lot of the information is already known to residents who have been here a while, the publication contains a lot of very useful information to newer residents. All you need to do is look at threads on TOTV to see there is a need for this and it’s all contained in one place.

Also, while there is a lot of help given on this site, there is also a lot of misinformation here.

Heaven forbid! The developer makes money. The TOTV has turned into a vehicle for the chronic complainers. Regardless of what the developers do, it's bad, terrible, and my God, they make money. Get a life.

Always enjoy most of the paper. They are not scared to provide "good news".

Great comment, Bay Kid!

To those of you complaining about it and throwing it in the recycle bin, why not hand it to a newcomer you might know who hasn't subscribed to the paper? I know I would appreciate the gesture if I was there. Not only would you be benefiting someone else, you would feel better for having done so and maybe even make a new friend in the process.

We have an ad in it. I think it is a great resource for newcomers (as the title says) and it is a nice looking coffee table book.
