Perhaps contact The Daily Sun - maybe they can give you some of a previous day's unsold papers.

Are you using this to kill grass or as a weed barrier? Did it once in Michigan.

Did that years ago in CA, the paper degraded too quickly. We went back to using black vinyl sheeting.

We tried using the newspapers to kill the grass, but unfortunately this method does not work here like it did up north. We have done it and the paper just does not degrade properly, no idea why. Could be lack of real soil and good pests in the soil. When we used this method in NH our soil was just teaming with earth worms, not so here.

I worked on two huge gardens up north with this method and expected the same results, but no way!

Well the Fl Univ folks said if you use about 6 to 10 sheets of paper and mulch between each layer of sod as it it stacked it will work.

I read online that is the way to do it also.

But I'm going to need a lot of it and was thinking about 500+papers.

Where is the re-cycle place in the area, anyone know.

Yes, the recycle bin is outside in the parking lot of the sheriff's office down on 466 and Morse, or the Tax Collector's office... I use it all the time to dump my newspapers. You should have no problem finding enough papers in the bin.
