Default Is no one happy?

In the 5 weeks I've been here, I have travelled a lot in my cart and I wave at EVERYONE I meet. With the exception of 1 PERSON, no one waves back. My wife has even noticed this. Am I just meeting a lot of people too good to wave back or are there a lot of unhappy people?

Continue to wave. If they don't wave back, at least you'll get them thinking....they'll be trying to figure out just who the heck you are.....

Maybe it's the moon. Or the heat. We always wave, too, and usually people respond, but I must admit we've had a few duds recently. Keep trying!

I agree. Keep up the waving. I do it to cars going past my house as well - whether I think I know them or not.

Wave at me....I'll wave.

A nice gentleman said hello to me as I was walking into Publix yesterday. That was nice. 😊

Happens sometimes to me too. Then I think they must come from a big city and are not yet used to The Villages. Once, someone else saw no response to my wave and went out of their way to stop and say hello! Wonderful!

There are more of us friendly ones than not but things get going with one and then it catches on.

I can only speak for myself but I don't wave because I don't have seat belts in my cart and I need to hang on to the steering wheels with both hands. Now I do try and nod my head but it come across like I'm a bubble head

When we first moved in (7 yrs ago)) everyone waved to each other. Then as the population grew it stopped because you pass so many golf carts daily all you would do is be waving. Keep waving some will return the friendly gesture
