Well after all this SAGE advise what was wrong with the door?

Interesting enough the door started working fine right after paying the electric bill.

It was probably locked out at the inside controls by the house entry door as suggested

Has anybody else noticed that the OPs never admit what's wrong. Everybody tried to help but you never know for sure. Still waiting for the OPs answer.

A new one

So if all those previous ideas didn’t fix it, here’s what happened to us last year.

We returned after dinner one night to have no power to the garage door. We tried the breaker, GFI, etc, with no success so we called an electrician. Turns out that the lamp post next to the driveway was wired to the same circuit as the garage door. Over the years, there had been some settling in the ground around the lamp post and the wiring to the lamp had broke and shorted. He disconnected the lamp post from the circuit until it could be dug out and reconnected.

Yes, you may have locked down the doors. Check the little toggle switch at the bottom of your wall pad!

Good idea. My opener has the ability to lock the door so a transmitter can not open it. Never did it but I think it is done by pushing a button on the wall opener and would be very easy to accidently push it on your way out and not be able to get back in.

If you push it on the way out, you won't be able to close the door with your remote.

assumming your motors plug into an outlet *(most do) you have missed something, either a ground fault or circuit breaker. Try plugging a lamp or other item into the outlet to check for power or give me a call at 330-461-3110 and I will try to help.
