Isn't is strange that these same folks who really want to outlaw smoking somehow find it logical to favor legalization of pot. I think you call that the "theory of confused thinking". I'll make you all a bet.....In three years it will be illegal to display the confederate flag on a car or on your property, and smoking, ( and I don't smoke) will be illegal more places than it is permitted. Anyone want to take me up on either?

I believe I understand. But I think it is more important than ever to support the Fourth, our celebration of Independence, and teach others what it means for us. As for me, I'll be marching in the Tavares 4th of July parade with my fellow Sons of the America Revolution.

I really don't see an issue with this; our car, our carts and our home is not smoked in now. Past, present or future. One of the nastiest habits a person can have. :grumpy:

I do not know about illegality of displaying the confederate flag but certainly hope it will be totally socially unacceptable to do it.


As for smoking, it should be illegal to smoke outside your own single family home. Not in an apartment or a rented home.

I just leased a new car. I got a much better rate on it because I guaranteed I would not smoke in the car.

I am guessing most of us are done with college at our age...Is the OP pursuing a doctrine or just wants to ride around in his car on the college campus while smoking???

Hospitals and business campuses have been banning smoking on their property for years, has not hurt their business, nor any smokers...Have you seen the commercial of the guy taking a shower with the hole in his throat? Too bad he was not prevented from smoking so much...I doubt any smoker on here suggest that their grandkids should take up smoking.

As for the confederate flag; That object did not make the guy a nutjob that killed those people in the church, anymore than the Busch beer he was drinking in his facebook photos...are they talking about banning Busch beer? Plain and simple; he was a nutjob that could have taken picture of himself with the American flag and then drove a semi truck through the wall of the church and killed innocent people. Flags and guns do not purposely kill innocent people, cowards and nutjobs do! The confederate flag is a total deflection of the real problem.

If people were not allowed to smoke in their cars, just think how much cleaner the roadsides would be. Personally, I thing filtered cigarettes should be banned. All they do is litter.

Nothing worse than seeing cig butts around the golf course. Same as throwing trash on the ground.
