When I read the OP initial statement about a water feature, I was thinking of something bigger and grander, then he said water fountain at SS. Actually after going to LSL, I would be disappointed in the fountain at SS.

So to begin its Fenney.
So if you don't live there , why would you care if there ever was a town square built in that area? You say it is too far, not so as pointed out to you.

I care because if built would take advantage of entertainment/restaurants/shops there.

I think "Fenney" is a very cool place. Different. I prefer access to golf, but that's not priority #1 for a lot of retired people.

Tried to figure out where this "Feeney" was. Actually, found a Village of Feeny in North Ireland. It is over 4,000 miles from Brownwood as the crow flies.
However, the Village of FENNEY is just a few miles/minutes from Brownwood.
You're welcome.

Not sure where eveyone is from but, Southern Oaks to Brownwood, LSL or almost anywhere isn't a "long" drive IMO. There is no "long" drive to anywhere around The Villages.

The one time we drove to Fenney from Billy-s on 27 it took a good 45 minutes, kind of longer than we expected
