Is it just me or is anyone else sick and tired of lawnmowers and leaf blowers on Sunday's? Cant we have just one day with no noise? Just one day-is that asking too much?

One of my neighbors up the street likes to mow his lawn at 8am on Sundays, I feel your pain.

Yes, it would be great to have a day without LANDSCAPING work.

I believe many people are only living in order to work in their yard. When I was working, on the way to work, I would see the same retired people trimming their bushes day after day. I swore then, I would not retire just to work in the yard.

I have neighbors that mow their own yard (3 times a week), trim every leaf out of place and run that BLOWER every day. They Blow out their garage, they even blow the street in front of them.

Another crazy observation is that (JUST ON MY STREET) there is some type of contractor every weekday (new trim, pavers, enclose lanai, remove carpet, paint inside, paint outside, new appliances, new furniture, etc. Every weekday for 5 years. Man that is keeping the economy going as we are just one street in The Villages.

I personally don't see the point in riding chrome-plated v8 air-conditioned lawn mowers (slight exaggeration) to mow these postage stamp lawns. They just make a lot of noise which drives my large dogs crazy. And I am fairly certain they drill out the mufflers on the leaf blowers.

There are those that consider keeping their landscape and lawn maintained is a hobby, they may choose to do this rather than to play golf or pickleball. It's no different than someone that keeps their home spotless inside vs those that live in a pig sty environment, to each his own.

It would be more efficient and less noisy for The Villages to provide landscape maintenance for the villas, rather than requiring every villa owner to contract separately.
