The best comedy complaint I have heard in a while. You just can't make this stuff up!

Has the OP actually seen their neighbor? Could be there is no one there and they left the dryer on.

Could be the dryer sheet smell they choice bother you. You can buy different scents.start out like what scents are you using go from there ask to change. I have a smoker across the street and have a dog to take out. I have asthma it effect me and he thinks it’s a joke that I wave it away and cough. My mom die from lung cancer from smoking ! No joke to me.

For those who cannot stand close quarters, TV probably is not the place to be.

Whenever I read one of these threads with complaints about neighbors or traffic or long waits at restaurants or maxed out clubs or long lines at rec centers or overbuilding or. . . on and on it goes, and now it's about dryer sheets -- well, it makes me think of that rather famous 1960s experiment........

John Calhoun was a researcher who was concerned about the effects of population density on behavior, so he built a mouse utopia where the mice had everything they needed and things were lovely for them, for a while. But then their once-utopia got way too crowded and things got ugly.

Calhoun used the term "behavioral sink" to describe the collapse in behavior that resulted when the population exploded.

A conclusion of Calhoun's 1960s experiment showed that although most of the mice went crazy from excessive social interaction due to population density, there were some mice who did OK because they had managed to control their own space and kept things relatively normal.

Now, of course, I know we humans have better coping skills than mice and should be able to adjust or avoid. But the experiment is interesting to read about anyway. Parallels could exist in some cases.

Adjust or avoid.

Renters who "treat it like... it's rented." - wash and dry one sock!

everything is always the renter's fault, maybe you ought to get back to the dog poop page?

I think you’ll be just fine. Not only do those two have perfect manners, they also have been together since 1929 and have not reproduced — like Calhoun’s experiment mice did.

But. . .if Chuck E. Cheese moves in, I would move out.

I feel your pain. I live in a courtyard villa and my surrounding neighbors all pollute the air with those awful perfumed sheets. I agree with the suggestion of a fan to blow it away from you. It will also cover up the sound of the dryer that is bothering you. If you find a quiet fan, I suggest either earbuds or playing nature sounds. I have an app called Naturespace. It plays everything from ocean sounds to cicadas, just various soothing background sounds. Another tip for the smell is to dab VapoRub under your nose. I carry a tiny pot of it with me to protect myself from the smell of perfume, cologne, and cigar/cigarette smoke.

I’m doing laundry now dryer on went outside can’t smell my Bounce Dryer Sheets.
But I did smell a gas golf cart driving by.

That's interesting because I too felt bad about a neighbor being bothered by a nearby noisy, smelly dryer. AND, I immediately thought of my own pet peeve - the NOISE and SMELL of all the GASOLINE golf carts driving by my yard. At least the dryer hot air does NOT rise into the upper atmosphere and mess up the CLIMATE.

A military grade gas mask and audio earphones would help. Hopefully, you can find comfortable ones.
