Not Accommodated
Not Accommodated
“You can play golf every day” That is what the brochures say But from October to May All you get is ‘Not Accommodated”. You put in a Request for a day to play Then cross your fingers and sit and pray But on the day you schedule to play You get “Not accommodated”. From the month of May through September There is not a day that I remember When I got that unwanted message You are “Not Accommodated”. They says it is “points” They say that it’s fair I think it is wrong and I really don’t care I hate to see “Not Accommodated”. My wife wants to play, My groups what to play What can I tell them? What can I say? They don’t want to hear ‘Not Accommodated”. I figured it out! I take the Reservation route! Scan all of the courses and try not to shout When I can beat “Not Accommodated”. Sometimes I’m lucky - Sometimes I’m not When I am lucky my group thinks I’m hot But when I strike out and down we are shot All I can see is “Not Accommodated”. So now I sit and wait for the first of May Because that will hopefully be the day When my Requests will no longer be “Not Accommodated”.

Re: Not Accommodated
I'm surprised when people say they have trouble getting tee times. that wasn't our experience. Now I must admit that our experience consists only of the month of March last year, but we didn't have any problem getting times for the 2 of us. I used thevillages.net and often went into the unused tee times and mostly got to pick the courses and time I wanted. I sort of rotated between executive and championship and we managed to play every day that we wanted to -- and that was almost every day. When we had people visiting us, I did book ahead to be sure I got 4 slots. The week they were with us we played 1 executive and 2 championship courses. We thought it was wonderful.

Re: Not Accommodated
I play five days a week and so do some of my fellow golfers. After we get Not Accommodated, I go the Reseration route and usually get tee times - which gives me more points and which means I will keep getting the not accommodated response to my requests.
In fact, this year it has been a year round problem.

Re: Not Accommodated
Are tee times more available if you join the championship golf? I understand it's something like $900 annually for family.
That's one of the attractions for my husband - free golf but if you can't get tee times, the free is a mute point.

Re: Not Accommodated
I do not play the championship courses in the winter - too $$$. But without paying for priority golf you should still be able to play most of the championship courses. Try before you buy the priority pass.

Re: Not Accommodated
Hey Zman,
That's why I bass fish. Although ramps at time can be loaded with tournaments but through the week is normally open. One problem though. Bass are not always Accommodating. Steve ;D |

Re: Not Accommodated
Good advice...do the due diligance before investing $1000 in a priority pass...I have two friends who bought them last year and regretted doing so because they never were able to break even.

Re: Not Accommodated
The golf problems mainly exist in the "free" executive courses. One of the issues has been solved by a change in rules.
Used to be when a new renter made a T-time they started with 0 points. Now, the PROPERTY gets the points and a new renter starts where the last one left off. Much more fair. Also, people who used their neighbors ID #s for T-times have been caught when the snow-birds came back and found they had points and this will not be tolerated. When it is discovered, the first time is a repremand; second time no golf allowed for a specified time and if it happens again, a longer suspension of golf T-times. We have a priority membership and sometimes have to play Palmer which is the most expensive and not the best course, but it is luck of the draw. If you are a golfer who is obsessive compulsive about playing, get a priority membership!
