Thanks for the clarification. And if you really want tooo much info on anoles go here. Anole Annals – Your source for the latest on Anolis lizards. Most of the reading is above my head but there are great pics of anoles and a bit of humor too.

Folks: I am sure that many of you may be terribly disappointed to hear this, but the tiny lizards that run around our homes are actually "anoles" and not "geckos". Photos are attached (the large one is the gecko). You are welcome!

Did you know way some are brown and some are green?

Not a difficult question. They change their colors to blend in with their background environment because they are PREDATORS (like dinosaurs) that eat dumb insects that stumble by and don't see them. We are lucky that they are not 2 ft tall and weigh 40 lbs or more humans might be missing limbs.

You've been here a year and a half and just discovered that ? Anole thread used to be pretty common on TOTV.

They are dangerous when upset!

Thanks for the laugh, uh ... er ... warning.

You need a hobby besides correcting people. Try joining a club or learn an activity. Get out of your house a little.

No, they are not chameleons...

The different colors represent different origins (native vs invasive species). You would have know that if you actually read the thread...
