It is not new or just here. There are many places where the law is different on the other side of the street. I seem to recall reading about a home that where it is located it is in the corner of three different states. Sometimes it works to your advantage. Our previous home you could water your lawn on odd days if you had an odd house number and even days if you had an even address. Our home had an old address and a new one one was odd and one was even.
The census. We got two forms I completed one with a note explaining the whole thing. They kept contacting me. Threats etc. They sent a lovely lady to our home who know how much it costs. She told me to just complete the form WE COUNTED TWICE. I was called for jury duty 7 or 8 years after we no longer lived in the state. It is always an adventure. Getting harder and harder to do find a HUMAN. I had four such issues going at the same time. Tie in to DUKE. One was a ten year old water bill claimed not paid. The company kept getting sold and tyhey would start bothering me again. Typical they mess up their records and want you to do their research for them. First time I sent them copies of their bill and my cashed CHECK marked paying final bill # in full. Second time I said go find my detailed letter sent under return receipt #.
This stuff is a constant ADVENTURE. When you talk to someone who says the computer says
you have not found a HUMAN. You are talking to a human that the job has made into a computer accessory like a printer.
