Reread OPs post, it’s their neighbor

The latest and greatest is this menagerie of dogs are leaving gifts in our back yard. Now I care. They were doing fine by me up till now. I'm going over to speak with him shortly. Wish him luck. I do hope his words and actions are proper! We'll see.

My time of being the enforcer is supposed to be over. I'm Disabled, Retired, and Tired of hearing about all the stuff from pre-retired life. I'm going to state the Facts Ma'am. Just the Facts. Let's see where this goes with the new neighbors. I'm from Jersey, He's from N.Y. what could go wrong? I will NOT be carrying today.

Good luck, seriously, I am all in favor of talking and trying to resolve issues with neighbors instead of jumping straight to sue.

And thank you for being a responsible gun owner.

As many have said there are different number of pets allowed based on which CDD you are in but it doesn't matter because it will never be enforced. The developer is responsible to enforce all restrictions inside of a home and they never do. There are a lot of kids living here that have been brought to the developer's attention but nothing is ever done about it.

I have never seen a restriction on how many people can live in a house. The problem with this is that they use 2 residents per house to base their decision on how many amenities they need to build to keep up with demand. In the season, it is not uncommon for 6 people (usually 3 couples) to rent a home together. Not only that, those 6 people invite their kids and grandkids to come down also to spend time and they also get full access to amenities here, not to mention their friends staying in nearby trailer parks.. Spend about 4 K a month (about 650 each) and get total use of the amenities and a place to live for a month...not bad...unless you are a real resident trying to make use of any of the amenities. The powers to be also never check the ages of people who are renting these homes.

WOW! It sounds like The Villages is not nearly as well regulated/controlled as many of the other 55+ communities in the area. I guarantee that people would not get away with most of those violations in my/our community.

The developer is NOT responsible. As soon as the section is sold out the control and enforcement of restrictions is turned over to the residents of that section. Enforcement in MOST areas is complaint driven.

You might want to find out how things work before complaining about something that doesn't exist.

Maybe. But your envy of The Villages is evident by your on-line involvement.

"Envy of The Villages" is not the correct phrase. "Curiosity as to how the masses live" would be a more accurate statement. And from what I'm reading, I'm glad that I'm learning about TV from a message board rather than living there. But if you like it, that's all that matters. Just not my style.

If you're referring to me, as of today I have 126 posts total in 8 years on this board. That's a little over 1 post per month. No trailers (or short term rentals) in our community. No one in our community renting out their home as if it were a low-rent motel either. Nice 18 hole golf course, multiple swimming pools, and nice neighbors. I wouldn't consider moving.

I'm sorry. I forgot to follow up. I just got out of Jail. :1rotfl: Just kidding. I welcomed them to the neighborhood and gave him a bottle that someone gave us when we were new, we don't drink. I splained the situation to him and he denied it was him so I showed him a video that a neighbor took on their phone.

What an instant change of direction. How humble people can become when your stone cold busted. He grabbed his pooper scooper and cleaned up the mistakes in my yard and his. I shook his hand and departed before he did his Duty.

I didn't want to make him feel worse than he already did.

Case Closed I Hope.

Because a message board, with about 1% of the residents portrays real life in the Villages.

It suck so much, house prices are up 15% in a year, and you need to commit to a house, within 15 minutes of it being released into inventory….

But yes, no one wants to live here.

Different areas do have different rules. With the 2 dog limit, you are allowed to bring your pets when the buy any then once the dogs die the 2 dog limit can be enforced. Of course the enforcement requires someone to complain and turn them in. The clipboard ladies that drive around only look at yards, I don’t think they are counting pets.

Seems great, thank that neighbor with the video.
