So sorry to hear about that, skyguy. Sounds like you're taking a pro-active approach - hope it turns out to your benefit. Bill :( |
Sorry to hear of this reversal of fortune. :(
Hoping something positive will happen for you. :) |
Sorry about the change in the sale. Fingers and toes are crossed for a quick resolution and another quick and uneventful sale!
|
Bummer! Here's to a "silver lining" somewhere!
SkyGuy, I can't believe you had this kind of set-back. Hang in there - let's hope there is a silver lining in this cloud, and you will be able to move forward again soon!
|
skyguy -- hope this bump in the road to selling your house is resolved soon. Keep us posted on what happens.

Here we go with round two! Got and accepted an offer today from another party that's aware of the flood zone situation! Not as good a deal (for us) as the first one that fell through, but it is within our acceptable range anyway! If all goes smooth with the appraisal and inspection, then we should be good to go... knock on wood! Let's just hope that Murphy's Law doesn't strike us twice!
|
Sending positive thoughts your way!!! I just know this is the one!
|
I'm letting go of all negative vibes and sending positive ones your way. Good luck.

Hoping this one goes well, skyguy!

Hoping the Best
We lived at 1800 feet above Sea Level and no drainage or rivers near us.
A Government FEMA Goof had us in a Flood Zone! Bank wanted us to buy flood insurance? I feel your pain it took a year to get it reversed but it was corrected. Good luck on the new sale. |
Hoping there is no slip t'wixt cup and lip and this deal goes sailing through.
I know how you feel, you can't breathe until it is a done deal and it ain't over until it's over. I know it will be finished soon Eileen and Joe. Feel these hugs. And when we were unpacking I found a rosary and I still know how to use it . Gracie. Who could be devouter. |
Hoping and wishing this offer results with a check in your hand and you can get onto your new life with a less thing to worry about.
 |
After the flood zone issue was resolved, then came yet another hurdle to get over. The radon test showed that the level was over a 6. (4 is highest acceptable) Sounds like my parents were lucky in that neither ever developed any health problems associated with radon, and they lived there approx. 50 years. At least the rest of the inspection (as well as the bank's appraisal) went OK!
Anyway, that wasn't too bad a hurdle to get over except it's costing us somewhere around $1400 for the ventilation system. We have our fingers crossed now and got notified yesterday by our lawyer's office that they're hoping to close tomorrow, (Fri) unless the lender has a problem with it, then comes the $$$ that all the loan sharks are ready to devour! (just kidding) So far we haven't gotten confirmation about closing tomorrow, so I guess it boils down to our continually being on pins and needles right up to the last minute. This process would have been a lot more fun though... if we were into S&M! :1rotfl: |
Sky:
My thoughts and prayers go you to you the closing will take place and you won't have to worry and deal with this anymore. :) Best wishes for the Holiday season to you and yours. Joe  |
