The OP stated she has vegetables -- not fruit trees or any type of fruit.

The University of Florida does not disagree.
What you have posted has to do with fruit plants and trees and not vegetables!

Thank you, Gracie, very informative link.

I might add, garden grown vegetables, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini are actually "fruits", not vegetables.

Gracie, dear, thank you for the link.

For some reason I'm no longer looking forward to lunch. :yuck:

Gracie, dear, did you happen to see "Ghost?"

Ditto.

All this talk of rats and bugs and no one has said, “they were here first” yet – I’m shocked. :)

And so are beans, pumpkins, corn and many others, botanically speaking, but let's not get carried away.

It isn't who was here first but who finishes first.
If, the Lord God made all of the human race vegans we would not be having this discussion:D

I shudder when I think of ANY rats - however, glad these rats are in the Solomon Islands!

Several months ago DH calls me outside. Has a surprise for me......opens the grill and yes I scream and the family of rats scurry.

DH cleans grill and uses a whole propane tank to burn.

Never used grill again and it was recently donated.
