Old Learn-To-Line-Dance Question
Don't beat me up too hard. I have done some searching, but I'd like to hear the latest opinions and info on this...
Are there ways other than the classes to learn to line dance in The Villages style? I know classes are good, but I'm wondering if there are videos, DVD's, even game console apps (XBox, Playstation...yes...I have them!! ), or other ways to learn on your own? (I've always thought those line dance 'experts' at the squares must have done more than just classes to get so good and know so many dances.) I've tried the classes and they're very good. I liked them. But I have a hard time getting to them regularly enough to advance as quickly as I'd like to. If there was something I could just do at home when I have free time that would be great. Any input is greatly appreciated. |

If you know the name of the dance, there will probably be youtube videos with step by step instructions.

As for the question in the body of your original post, most of the really good dancers dance every day, and sometimes several times a day. I danced for several years and never advanced into the expert level, maybe I do not have the potential to be an expert dancer. Also, a lot of these top dancers go away to events held all over the States to learn from the people who write the original dances. Try doing a search on what it takes to become an expert line dancer and you will find more information.
