Umm, if I were a "developer," I would look for opportunities to make a profit rather than opportunities to lose money. Just as when I worked a regular job, I was paid for my efforts and did not work for free.

I think you will find that is being developed for a new Hobby Lobby

There is a big vacant lot between Fresh Market and the land approved for lots of apartments, a long-term stay motel, and 105 children.

I have lived in several planned communities, two in Virginia and one other one in Florida. Development is good as you say and profit is a noble goal in any business venture. But when growth goes unabated, with no impact studies, or input from the people it will impact the most it is troublesome. There are people who no matter what will object, but if the vast majority object and the developers intent is to make money regardless of the people it hurts the most, it is not beneficial to the community. I was very lucky in that all the other planned communities I lived in the developers always worked with the local community to come up with a plan everyone could live with. Hopefully, that will be the case here.

Any green area will be built on. Florida is notorious for that. Making this area into another Orlando. They won’t be happy until every inch of green area is paved or blacktopped. SMH

The construction going on in the field, on the south side of Wedgewood, behind the KFC, is the location for the new Hobby Lobby. Unaware of any housing. As far as I know, all of the land, on both sides of Wedgewood, is zoned commercial, which would negate housing unless they got a variance.

Totally disagree with you. I wrote my original post to get information from the TOTV people and I got it, more than I expected. These people living here know what is happening. Yes, I was told this information in a haphazard way, but by asking on this site I learned a great deal more than I expected and I thank everyone who gave their input.

I would add one more thing .... if you are thinking of buying in TV, make sure you do not buy on the outer periphery of TV because you never will know what can be built in your back yard. :ohdear:

Good post, but in this case the developer appears to "own" Florida and seems able to do whatever he/they want. There was a time when people could not just chop down a tree without getting permission, now it seems not to matter to anyone how many trees are brought down or cut back literlly to a bare tree trunk. However, when I drive down B.Vista it still takes my breath away.

Ok so we know where the new development is now. Only question is will there be a cart path connecting the development to TV?

That's what I read in the Sun, it was back some months now, but said a large parcel across from the F.Market would be the site of a large Hobby Lobby store. In the article I read there was no mention of homes or even apartments, just mentioned the sq. ft. of the Hobby Lobby was among their largest models, and then the parking in addition.
