Default Log In Twice, Search Timing And Lockups

I noticed that today I had to log in twice with my username and password every time I log onto TOTV. At first I though I fat fingered something but that was not the case. When I logged in I would get the normal message to click here to be redirected if necessary and then it pops back to the original log on screen and I have to enter my user name and password again. After the second attempt I get logged on with no problem.

The search timing setting change from 20 to 30 seconds was noticed yesterday and was only a problem on the one line replies that take only a few seconds to read. I would wait the time and and hit New Posts after the wait time and everything was back to normal.

Well today it happened a few times so I just waited and I decided to add a posting to the "Please Try Again in 2 Seconds" thread and things locked up. I had saved the posting and went back to "New Posts" and it came up with the 10 seconds wait time. I waited and everything was still locked. I could get back to the main TOTV screen but clicking on anything took me back to the wait 10 seconds screen. I could not even see if me post was added to the thread. I logged off and then came back in again and again it took two attempts to log on and I made sure the entries were correct and used the mouse to move around and not the tab key to switch fields.

Another thing that was mentioned in the "Please Try Again in 2 Seconds" was to log out and clean the cookies and temp files and try again. That seems very odd in that I always get a message that the cookies and temp files have been cleaned when I normally log out. This has never been a problem in the past.

I put a reply one here a few minutes ago and now it is gone??? ( Edit: And now it is back again ???)

I tried to quote a post and it took me to a log in that wouldn't work.

Had to close and reopen to get back on.

I think TOTV has had some technical issues lately.

In the IT business, instead of *bugs*, we'd call 'em *features*

I think Talk Host and company are working it

I think we all have to push the "remember me" button again when we log in. I notice that I can't change the fonts or print size anymore.

Great website, great admins, ... only one problem .... it's addictive.

And what happened to the list of recent posts at the bottom of the page? Is it gone for good?
