Listen to me VERY carefully. Live close to a grocery store that isn't awfully crowded.

After a while no one really cares whether they are close to a square or not.

Figure out how much you want to spend, choose the model you like and decide WHAT you want behind you.

The newer areas south of 466A have people, many new to the area and some who have moved from other places in the villages, but will probably be more open to new friendships...however, you have to take turns breathing at Colony Publix.

There are Baby Boomers everywhere and a lot of us pre baby boomers too, everywhere. We are all senior citizens. Some are the young old and some are medium old and some are older old.

I find all of us equally charming.

Isn't the Publix in Southern Trace closer for you than the one at Colony?

I don't know much about the other Villages, but I love the Village we selected, Caroline. I can walk to 3 pools, tennis courts, Sweetbay and Lake Sumter Landing. For this NYC girl, the ability to walk places was a very big factor. It is also located in between the other two town squares. We move in full- time in May...maybe I'll see you on the Stillwater Trail!

Yep. I live close to the Publix at Southern Trace in my home that is just over a year old.

I was giving advice to the folks who wanted opinons for soon-to-be frogs.

Some people move into areas with few services and complain that they have moved into areas with few services.

I always quote my friend Bogie Shooter when people say that somebody ought to build this or change that..... I say. Patience, Grasshopper.

That is what you say, Bogie. Yes it is.

When checking out the amenities, look for what is there now, not what some real estate sales person imagines will be there some day, unless it is something that is clearly under construction.

Another thread stated that 45 people are on a waiting list to play softball due to the lack of softball fields.

Do you think that figure will decrease with the birdies fly back north?
