So how long does the $5 one last day, week, month? Or so many toll booth passes?

FAQ does not differentiate these two kinds.

In essence, $5 buys you a permanent sticker and $19.99 buys you a transponder with suction cups...that can be moved from one vehicle to another. The purchase price does not include a balance to pay the actual tolls...you have to register and add money to your account for that. On Edit: I see Smurphy answered the question also. |
Thank you. $5 works like a transponder, but it's not portable, but cheaper than the transponder.

One is permanently attached...the other portable. Both need to have money added to the account to use...based on the serial number of the transponder. |

Several times a month we go to Orlando or Melbourne (to visit our son) and we feel that it definitely is much more convenient than waiting in line. There have been several times when the cash lines were backed up a long way and we just drive straight through. There are quite a few toll plazas where you don't even have to slow down when going through the SunPass lanes. Well worth the $5 in our opinion. |
