"No voice or control ( voting) over growth or population".
This was in the post I commented on. Please tell me when anyone before or after moving to TV thought they could have control/voice over growth & population. The statement may be an opinion, but.....what is the basis for complaining (whining) about the lack of no voice or control???

Please somebody tell me. Is it hard to get a seat at the pools? Crowded restaurants, traffic no problem. Just say it ain't so about the pools. :sigh:

Nobody knows about pool chairs hard to get? It was posted, is it true?

I personally have not had any difficulty getting a place to sit a the family pool. The Odell pool was right behind our house in Hadley so the convenience of me going there caused me not to go to other pools.

I hear that the adult pools sometimes are crowded-er.

Haven't had time to go to pools since July when Grandson was visiting and we went to Lake Miona and it was like having your own private pool in the evening. Many times we were the only ones in it.

If one pool is crowded, go to another....I think there are 62. Who knows the right number these days?

Actually Pooh, bomblasted is not a word... not in the dictionary and rubicon was correct except he mispelled it (NO, I'M NOT A SPELLING COP! (said laughing)) It's actually "lambasted: "Has been attacked verbally" ...no L in it; guess he just forgot to get the L out of it! Think I'll stop here before I get lambasted, lamblasted and bomblasted! :a20:

Dear Skyguy...welcome home. Hugs and love to you both. You are where you should be...I am so happy for you.

Pooh used that version because someone else had used it first. She is a good speller, that Pooh, even if she is a math genius and she is a very forgiving and patient golf partner too.

Well said quirky! I agree that divergence of opinion is good and healthy. The thing that I don't like is when people get disagreeable or personal. Like Gracie said when someone is happy they should not be attacked for looking through rose colored glasses, that is the way they see things and that is equally as legitimate as someone who sees things the opposite. Discussion sites like TOTV are always on the edge of turning some people off, as often posters will express their opinion in a way that is off-putting, when they probably would not do that in a polite, face-to-face discussion. There is plenty of room for misinterpretation and misunderstanding in posts that are often typed quickly and without a lot of forethought, and which sometimes misportray the true thoughts of the poster. I have been guilty of posting things that I later looked at and realized they did not truly convey my intent. Hopefully, this is not one of them:confused:

Hugs and love back to you, your sweetie & Helene! You know of course that I was just joking around with Pooh. Anyway, we owe you a visit and one of these days we'll stop by. Don't worry though, I'll be sure to give you plenty of warning so you can load up the family and head for the hills! :1rotfl:

You're all unpacked and ready to get out and play???.....oh..... not unpacked totally, yet? You know Skyguy, it's been 5 years and we're still settling in..... ;)
Hope the kitties are adjusting to their new digs....remember the old saying, "Dogs have owners, but cats have staff." I'm sure if they're happy, you'll know....I'm also sure if they're unhappy, YOU'LL KNOW, TOO....

I guess I did a boo-boo by putting bomblasted - but I was corrected and recorrected but the result is the same. We will be "attacked verbally" if we disagree.

I am very happy here. It does get crowded from September thru May. I do not rearrange my schedule because I like to eat about 1-1:30. I a also grocery shop at 7:30. Before the crowds. The only bug in my schedule is golf. But I can cope.

I am so sorry dear Weissenbach. I didn't remember correctly. PLEASE don't take a vacation.

Everyone can see through posts on here and no matter what the words say, people can see meaness or kindness. YOU my friend are always kind.

Sometimes we do take things personally...and often many truly can't understand why others feel very differently from them. Those who don't care for what's happened or happening in our community also have to realize and recognize that others feel quite differently from them.

Heck without this difference of opinion, TOTV or any board where people disagree, would soon become stale.

pooh: In my world its lamblasted bomblasted sound so much more war like:wave:

Z, I personally assumed you were being clever and creative. I love it when people make up new words!
